Armadale SHS Public School Review

The Department of Education Public School Accountability Directorate regularly reviews all public schools in Western Australia. Each school’s performance is determined through a self-assessment submission and then validated by a review team visit conducted by a Director of Public School Review and another school’s Principal (the peer reviewer). In Term 2 2024 a wide cross section of staff, students and community members had the opportunity to meet with the review team and discuss Armadale SHS’s performance as judged against six domains that form the Public School Review Standard. A review gives assurance to the local community, the Minister of Education, and the Director General of Education about the performance of the public school.

We are delighted to share that in the latest review we have been recognised for the outstanding work we have put into each of the six (6) domains below to ensure Armadale SHS students have success. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire school community.

  • Relationships and partnerships
  • Learning environment
  • Leadership
  • Use of resources
  • Teaching quality
  • Student achievement and progress

While this is a very pleasing validation of what we do at Armadale SHS, we recognise that we are on a ‘change journey’ as a school and we will continue to strive to provide the best possible education and support to all of our students.
