The Hospitality Program at Armadale Senior High School provides students with a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience over two years. Delivered by an experienced chef in our purpose built commercial kitchen, the program teaches students essential skills such as food preparation, safe kitchen practices, and barista training, including making coffees to a professional standard.
The program offers a wide range of opportunities for students to develop practical skills that are directly transferable to part-time employment, casual work, or future careers in the hospitality industry. Beyond preparing students for roles as chefs, it equips them with customer service, teamwork, and time-management skills that are valuable across a range of workplaces.
Students have the opportunity to engage in the following activities:
- Excursions to Bentley Pines Training Restaurant & C Restaurant
- 100 Club
- Positive Aging High Tea
- Year 12 Presentation Night
- Cooking Project with Prepare Produce and Provide
- First Aid Certificate
The Hospitality Program gives students the confidence and experience to succeed in hospitality environments, whether they choose to pursue further study, apprenticeships, or part-time work while continuing their education.
