The Lighthouse Program at Armadale SHS is a school based academic program that promotes academic rigour and intellectual challenge. Students selected for this program are provided with opportunities for critical analysis with an emphasis on higher order thought processes.
Visual Arts Program
The Armadale SHS Visual Art Specialist Program offers students an unique opportunity to study and explore their passion and love of the visual arts. This program allows lower school students to meet with their art teacher four times a week, giving them an in-depth experience of visual arts. In this course students will develop advanced Visual Arts knowledge and skills that will prepare them for senior school, employment, TAFE and/or University entry.
Armadale Senior High School offers students a range of trade related pathways in upper school within the Industry Program. Certificates delivered as part of the Program are nationally recognised and include Furnishing, Automotive, Construction and Engineering. Industry Program students aspire, strive and achieve through Certificate based and School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) subjects to gain WACE (Secondary Graduation) in Year 12. Both pathways include English, Mathematics, Physical Education and Workplace Learning. Our strong link with local businesses provides our students with Workplace Learning opportunities to engage them with relevant and challenging practical experiences.
Discover your child’s true potential through the Approved Information, Communication and Technology Specialist Program at Armadale SHS. The program is one of only four Specialist ICT Specialist Programs available in the state. The program is themed around Technology Start-Up business development and entrepreneurship. Students learn real world IT skills in exciting cutting edge contexts.
